Bilingual Education and meeting the needs of English Language Lerner's is our primary focus and objective in launching this site. In bilingual education we can identify the magnitude of the term and the phenomenon that surrounds it. In meeting the needs of English Language learners it is important for us to present the most up to date findings and to provide an adequate understanding of where bilingual education is today. In our objective to address the needs of English Language Learners we want to better inform educators, administration and enthusiast in the search for better methods, approaches, and theories to meet the needs of ELL's. Module Goal:
This module will assist in presenting a dynamic definition for bilingual education. Furthermore, it will also present bilingual education with the use of the deficit view, critical race theory and constitutional amendments that took place during the 1960's; an era that saw the birth of bilingual education.
Module Objectives:
Through the information presented regarding bilingual education, you will obtain a more dynamic idea and a broader understanding of bilingual education. Furthermore, with the information presented you will be able to evaluate bilingual education with a new perspective. The research findings aquired by Ofelia Garcia, Collin Baker, S. Nieto, and Barbar M. Flores regarding bilingual education and the history of bilingual education be utilized to present a dynamic definition, and the views, approaches, concepts, and events in the history of bilingual education in America. This module will present a different perspective regarding bilingualism and bilingual education.
